First Adventure...

For my first post, I will share my experienced traveling to New York from Malaysia as I'm furthering my study at New York University. It was hard for me to leave my family for a while especially my mom since I'm very close to her and we share a lot of things together.
It took me at almost two months of preparation to get my check list done. When you travel out of country, make sure you check your passport is good for at least 6 months, and your visa is approved so you would not have any problem at the airport or custom. Approval of visa might take up to 2 weeks, depending on what country you're traveling to so it is advisable to apply for it in advanced.
Do you know if you you make an advanced internet booking for flight ticket you could save a lot of money. If you are lucky, you could save up to 50% or more than last minute price. So, plan ahead and you could save a lot of money :)
When you are traveling, wether for vacation or business trip, avoid paying the expensive excess luggage fees. So make a call to the airline company, asked the maximum weight, quantity of luggage and hand carry luggage per traveler. And don't forget to carry small change of the destination you're going to.
Lastly, have a safe and fun trip to everybody!
